Hotel Conference and Banquet Room Acoustic Planning
By Thermofriz Team · Updated 25 October 2026
Plan conference and banquet acoustics around speech, amplified events, room division, movable partitions, services noise and maintenance requirements.
List the room configurations and event types
A hotel space may host conferences, dining, presentations and amplified celebrations, sometimes in adjacent subdivided rooms. Record each intended arrangement and the associated occupancy, seating and AV use. A single configuration may not represent the most demanding case. Define the operating modes before agreeing the acoustic criteria and material layout.
Review division as a complete construction
An operable partition’s published performance does not automatically establish isolation between the finished rooms. Sound may bypass it through ceilings, façades, floors and service routes. Review closure details, head and perimeter junctions and the actual operating conditions. Coordinate the partition supplier with the architect, acoustic specialist and services designers rather than treating the divider as an isolated catalogue purchase.
Balance acoustic function and hotel operation
Finishes need suitable cleaning, durability and access while coordinating with lighting, fire systems and ventilation. Plan installation or refurbishment around the hotel’s programme and protect completed interiors. Agree how the room will be checked in representative configurations. Thermofriz can discuss acoustic materials and contracting for hospitality projects where operational flexibility and coordinated execution form part of the brief.
