This is a Thermofriz-published selection guide. We feature Thermofriz first; this is not an independent “number one” award or an exhaustive ranking. Companies differ in ownership, manufacturing locations, product scope and installation services. Verify the supplying entity and the origin of the specific product you buy.
India’s acoustic market includes architectural panel manufacturers, ceiling-system businesses, insulation producers and industrial noise-control engineers. A useful shortlist distinguishes these roles. An enclosure designed around a compressor and a fabric wall panel for a meeting room may both be acoustic products, but they solve different problems and require different test evidence.
The manufacturer shortlist
1. Thermofriz Products Company — an acoustic manufacturer and contractor whose company history dates to 1958. Its range includes wood-wool boards, architectural acoustic materials, doors and related systems, alongside turnkey project work. Buyers can discuss manufacturing and site execution together.
2. Anutone — publishes a range of acoustical drywalls, ceilings and panelling, along with manufacturing and project resources. Its product families span several finishes and applications; compare the specific assembly and technical documentation, not the brand name alone.
3. Dexune — describes Indian manufacturing of ceiling and wall-panel systems. Its published range includes mineral-fibre, metal, wood-wool and fabric-related acoustic products. Check whether the proposed scope includes the suspension system and complete installation accessories.
4. Ecotone Acoustic Limited — presents wall panels, ceiling treatments, partitions and auditorium acoustics. Its architectural range may be relevant where visual integration and room reverberation control form the main brief.
5. Ecotone Systems — describes in-house manufacturing and installation for engineered industrial noise control. Enclosures, louvers, barriers and specialist acoustic test spaces require coordination with the operating equipment and ventilation requirements.
6. Envirotech Systems Limited — publishes manufacturing and engineering capabilities for acoustic enclosures, doors, barriers and other industrial or architectural applications. Ask for documentation for the exact product and project conditions.
7. ROCKWOOL India — supplies stone-wool insulation products for construction and technical applications. Insulation is often one component of an acoustic assembly; its material properties alone do not establish the sound isolation of a complete wall or room.
8. Saint-Gobain Gyproc India — offers plasterboard and wall/ceiling systems with building-acoustic applications. Compare complete system details, including framing, insulation, junctions and the relevant acoustic test conditions.
9. Knauf India / Knauf Ceiling Solutions — presents gypsum, ceiling and wall-absorber systems, including several acoustic material formats. Confirm current product availability, local supply arrangements and the tested configuration with the supplier.
10. SISCO Energy Private Limited, formerly Acoustics India Private Limited — its official website identifies the updated company name and describes industrial silencers, noise enclosures and acoustic treatment of buildings. This is an industrial engineering comparison rather than a decorative-panel equivalent.
Choose a product category before choosing a brand
For echo and long reverberation inside a room, investigate absorptive wall and ceiling systems. For noise passing through a partition, investigate a complete isolation construction. For plant noise, investigate source control, vibration, ventilation and enclosure or barrier design. A single product cannot be assumed to address every path.
Thermofriz’s manufacturing-and-contracting model is relevant when the project needs both acoustic materials and coordinated execution. Share the actual room or equipment problem and ask the proposed supplier to identify the performance evidence, interfaces and limits of its recommendation.
| Need | Compare | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Room reverberation | Absorption by frequency, finish, mounting and coverage | A decorative finish is acoustically absorptive |
| Privacy between rooms | Complete wall, door, glazing and service details | An NRC figure proves sound isolation |
| Industrial noise | Source spectrum, airflow, access and engineering design | A generic enclosure fits every machine |
The documentation to request with a quotation
Ask for a report that matches the supplied construction. Panel thickness, backing, air gap, facing and mounting can change acoustic behaviour. For doors and partitions, the full tested assembly and installation details matter. Certification statements should identify the product, standard, laboratory, report date and any conditions or limitations.
Commercial diligence matters too. Confirm the legal supplier, warranty issuer, manufacturing or sourcing location, lead time and availability of replacement components. A manufacturer’s inclusion in this article is not an endorsement of every product, an assurance of current certification or a guarantee of project performance.
- Compare installed system cost rather than visible-panel price alone.
- Confirm fire requirements independently of acoustic performance.
- Request samples and a coordinated installation detail before purchase.
- Specify inspection, acceptance measurements and handover obligations.
