Measurement & handover

Acoustic Project Handover Documents

By Thermofriz Team · Updated 25 October 2026

Build a useful acoustic handover record covering installed assemblies, approved changes, test evidence, commissioning, maintenance and warranty responsibilities.

Record what was installed, not just what was proposed

The handover file should reflect the completed work. Identify product families, finishes, support arrangements, backing and significant junctions. Include approved substitutions and changes rather than leaving the original specification as the only record. Where maintenance access is concealed, explain how it is reached. A future repair should not depend on someone remembering an undocumented detail.

Keep evidence and acceptance traceable

Include the reports relevant to the supplied construction and distinguish laboratory product evidence from site acceptance measurements. Record the operating conditions used for any project tests and the person responsible for them. List defects and their closure. If part of the brief was not measured, state that accurately instead of presenting a visual sign-off as acoustic verification.

Explain maintenance and responsibility

Provide suitable cleaning guidance, restrictions on painting or modification, replacement component information and warranty responsibilities. Doors and access panels may need operational checks as seals and hardware wear. Identify the route for reporting a problem. Thermofriz can agree handover deliverables at the outset of a contracting package so that documentation is planned alongside manufacturing and installation rather than assembled after completion.
